Degenerative Disease

The term "degenerative changes" in the spine refers to osteoarthritis of the spine. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. Doctors also may refer to it as degenerative arthritis or degenerative joint disease.

Scoliosis

Scoliosis is a condition of side-to-side spinal curves that measure greater than 10º. On an x-ray, the spine of a person with scoliosis looks more like an "S" or a "C" than a straight line.

Kyphosis

A spine affected by kyphosis shows evidence of a forward curvature of the back bones (vertebrae) in the upper back area, giving an abnormally rounded or “humpback” appearance.

Spondylolisthesis

Spondylolisthesis is where one of the bones in your spine, called a vertebra, slips forward. It can be painful, but there are treatments that can help. It may happen anywhere along the spine but is most common in the lower back.

Spinal Trauma

Fracture of the spine can be classified into stable fractures and unstable spinal fractures, where you are more likely to require treatment or surgical intervention.

Spinal Tumours

The bones of the spine are called the vertebrae. A spinal tumour (also known as a vertebral tumour) is a growth of cells that happens in the bones of the spine.

Mr. Ali Humadi specialises in the management of complex Spinal Conditions.

Mr. Humadi completed a Master degree in Orthopaedic surgery in Adelaide University and postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery in Melbourne before undertaking the Neuro-Orthopaedic Spinal Fellowship at The Austin Hospital. He undertook dedicated Advanced post-Fellowship training in Spinal Surgery in major spine centres throughout the world.
